A quality beast

Background: I own an original larktale 2 seat caravan. 3 kids with developmental disabilities – 35 lb, 65 lb, 80 lb.

I used the caravan quad at Disneyland for a day with a medical exception, we were not allowed the exception on other days of our trip. My older 2 rode in it. The heavier child was on the seat closest to the push bar, over the large wheels. To not hit tallest child’s head on the bar, the seat needed to recline. I found the basket close to my feet in this reclined position. The basket has multiple positions so it’s not at the same recline as the seat. However, the slightest bump and it would dip back down. We didn’t have the basket heavily loaded, there were light blankets and sweatshirts.

Dislikes: Kids can’t see through the mesh on shades and the flap on the shade doesn’t stay open. Its’s heavy overall – with allowed weight. The auto lock closure is at an awkward angle to open. I wish the footwell attachment could be accessed like the original, with the ability to flip onto the seat, storage and not losing it will be a challenge.

Likes: The parent console is a great addition but we didn’t see a need for the flap. Interior kids pockets are great. I like that the wagon can be flat and the attachment can remain zipped in, but it’s hard to close the wagon with it installed. Seatbelts were easy to adjust and only used with my youngest. They were easy to remove as well. Tall shades are useful. I could push the stroller wagon one handed when needed. Pushing the wagon on a paved trail at our local park I could feel the bounce of the shocks providing a nice ride for my passengers. Pushing on packed gravel was a tough workout. Adjustable handlebar is excellent

Didn’t utilize cupholder and the pockets on backs of seats are too small to be useful. The fabric lift handle in the middle broke off within the first few weeks.
