Great car seat!

I have owned a few Britax car seats over the past six years, and I’ve always felt they were a quality product, but they just couldn’t fit everywhere! The Poplar is really great, in that it allows for a narrower seating option while still maintaining the click-tight feature (best install there is!) and the plush interior that made the other seats so great. I also like that the “infant insert” has clear weight guidelines and sits around the buckle to help with properly seating a little one under 22lbs. The shoulder strap covers are also slightly rubberized across the back allowing the straps to slide through them (instead of with them) making it much more comfortable for baby.

In the past, my son was obsessed with the shiny Click Tight mechanism and cinch, and while I never thought to complain about it, Britax has now tucked this under the seat pad so littles are no longer trying to push the release or flip the turn mechanism. A pretty great improvement that I wouldn’t have thought to ask for!

The one downside I see is, while the fabrics are plush and seem very comfortable, they are NOT machine. I don’t think this reduces the value of being able to put three of these lovelies in a row! …but it would be a nice feature to see added on. I’m sure before my kiddos hit 65lbs there will be a spill or blow out needing washing. 😅
