Raddl Reviews
Obsessed with our new wagon!
I have been doing a lot of research on wagons before making this purchase. We decided to buy the Caravan Quad Wagon and I just have to say this was a fantastic investment for our family of 3 kids. Here’s what I love about this wagon: The durability seems to be solid and a great quality, I don’t think I will have an issues with how it holds up. It is also modern and stylish. You can adjust the height if the handle bar which is great since I’m 5’3 and my husband is 6’2 so we can both push comfortably with just a small handle adjustment. The seats are very spacious. Each of the four seats comes with a 5-point harness making it safe for my one year old to ride in. I do not have to worry about him sliding around or standing up while we are on the move. I also love that the seat backs recline making it easy for any of my kids to take a nap on our adventures out. The leg room is also very nice. I have a 5 year old and a 3 year old as well and there is plenty of space for them to fit comfortably. I also love the storage/compartments that come with the wagon. Most strollers and wagons your have to buy the additional baskets/cup holders and even the rain cover but you don’t have to do that with this wagon, it comes with it which is a major selling point too! When purchasing this wagon I was concerned about the size the wagon would fold down into and to my surprise with how big the wagon is it actually collapses into a relatively compact form making it easy to fit into both mine and my husbands car.
This wagon is very large, so when I first started to push it around I found it a little hard to maneuver but after using it a few times it became easier to push around. It does get heavy with all kids in it but I did expect that with pushing multiple kids around. I would say that was really the only downfall but I am now use to it and I don’t think its that big of a deal.
Overall I would HIGHLY recommend this wagon. You will not regret it at all!
Cadillac of Wagons
I have been researching Larktale wagons, and comparable wagons for some time. I ultimately decided to go with the Larktale Caravan Quad. I have one child that is 2.5 years old, and expecting baby #2 next month. I wanted a wagon that could grow with my children, so I chose the quad for this reason. The quad was bigger than I anticipated in person. I considered returning for the double, but ultimately decided it would be too much of a hassle to disassemble and ship back. My husband doesn’t mind the larger size. We received so many compliments when we were out with this wagon.
Pros:
-I love that the wagon reclines for naps
-Seems to be sturdy
-Wheels easily
-Canopies have good coverage
-Plenty of room for my son to nap, and hold additional items
-Lightweight compared to competitors, which makes loading in and out of the car easier
Cons:
-I thought the wagon would be compatible with my Chicco Keyfit 30 car seat. Currently Larktale only makes an attachment for the double seater caravan, NOT the quad. I wasn’t aware of this, so our infant carseat will not be able to attach.
-You do have to take the canopies off to fit in most trunks of the car (I have a Rav 4)
-The fabric around the velcro on the canopies is beginning to rip, and I’ve only used the wagon a couple of times. Since the canopies often have to be removed to fit in the car, I wish the material was more durable
-2 of the tires on the right side of our wagon “popped” off the rim/wheel. Not sure if this will happen again. I haven’t heard of this happening to anyone else. We “popped” it back on the rim
I ultimately removed one star because of the wheels popping off and the material on the canopy ripping. The incompatibility with my carseat is a disappointment, but doesn’t take away from the quality of the wagon. I am hoping Larktale may work with me to resolve the canopy and tire issues. Raddl has had great customer service thus far, and I am waiting to hear back from them further regarding the two issues above. I would give Raddl 5 stars for customer service alone, and highly recommend them as an authorized seller.
Overall great wagon
I decided to buy this wagon because I have 20 month old twins that still nap while riding and this was one of the few options that had a reclining seat option. The seats don’t fully recline but it is enough of a recline that they seem comfortable. The assembly was quick and easy taking less than 10 minutes. It is also quick and easy to fold. I like that the foot well adds additional storage room when not in use. The wheel and suspension make for an easy smooth ride. The adjustable handlebars Work well for my boyfriend (6’1) and myself (5’2). The sunshade offers full coverage. I will say I did feel like I was pushing a boat at first because it’s so big but it only took a few days to adjust to that. There are a few minor downsides though. I feel like the storage basket is a little flimsy and won’t hold to much weight. While I love the stroller organizer and find it very useful, it does sit at a strange angel if you put the handle bars up to high. The large size won’t work for everyone but if you have the space, I would highly recommend this wagon
Exactly what we were looking for
We have been researching stroller wagons for months. We needed something to fit 3 children that are 6.5 years old, 3 years old, and 1 year old. My husband is also very tall so we needed an adjustable handlebar for both of us to comfortably push the wagon. We wanted something that folded easily without removing seats, had accessories included and had a footwell that could be closed or open. The caravan quad had all of the things we were looking for. The wagon was easy to put together when it arrived and our big kids wanted to get in it immediately. They love it! It is quite heavy with all 3 of our children, but still easy to push on level ground.
Best 4 seater wagon out there
I have five children ages 7 and under so we really needed a four seater wagon but wanted something that was not so heavy and pretty compact. Also didn’t want a wagon that we have to take it all apart to fold or for it to fit in our van. This wagon fit all our wants and needs. All my kids fit great in it and they all want to ride in it so I usually have to baby wear our youngest. Love that the basket can be on the front or back. Also that the foot rest can be closed with an extra piece so you can use the footwell as secret storage if needed. There are so many pockets and with the included parent console storage is not lacking at all. We are so in love with this wagon fits our children and our life style perfectly. The only downside is I can not push it up a hill fully loaded so some of the kids have to get out when going up a very steep hill which I’m probably just not strong but I am sure it would be the same with any quad wagon but this is only a slight inconvenience for all the things we love with it.
A quality beast
Background: I own an original larktale 2 seat caravan. 3 kids with developmental disabilities – 35 lb, 65 lb, 80 lb.
I used the caravan quad at Disneyland for a day with a medical exception, we were not allowed the exception on other days of our trip. My older 2 rode in it. The heavier child was on the seat closest to the push bar, over the large wheels. To not hit tallest child’s head on the bar, the seat needed to recline. I found the basket close to my feet in this reclined position. The basket has multiple positions so it’s not at the same recline as the seat. However, the slightest bump and it would dip back down. We didn’t have the basket heavily loaded, there were light blankets and sweatshirts.
Dislikes: Kids can’t see through the mesh on shades and the flap on the shade doesn’t stay open. Its’s heavy overall – with allowed weight. The auto lock closure is at an awkward angle to open. I wish the footwell attachment could be accessed like the original, with the ability to flip onto the seat, storage and not losing it will be a challenge.
Likes: The parent console is a great addition but we didn’t see a need for the flap. Interior kids pockets are great. I like that the wagon can be flat and the attachment can remain zipped in, but it’s hard to close the wagon with it installed. Seatbelts were easy to adjust and only used with my youngest. They were easy to remove as well. Tall shades are useful. I could push the stroller wagon one handed when needed. Pushing the wagon on a paved trail at our local park I could feel the bounce of the shocks providing a nice ride for my passengers. Pushing on packed gravel was a tough workout. Adjustable handlebar is excellent
Didn’t utilize cupholder and the pockets on backs of seats are too small to be useful. The fabric lift handle in the middle broke off within the first few weeks.
Great choice!
There are so many great features to this wagon but a few tweaks could make it outstanding. Overall I love it and am glad to have it. I use it for everything!
Pros:
-easy 1 handed push
-nice parent console
– most compact fold of 4 seat stroller wagons
-fits in the trunk of my van with all 3 rows up and room for other things. Stands up folded inside van
-nice padded seats, much nicer than keenz, wonderfold, joymor, jeep, etc. Those type of bench seats are great but none are very padded like the seats in the caravan are
– works on deep, thick sand that is a struggle just to walk through. I never thought I’d be able to use this wagon at the beach, I’m impressed.
-easy to clean, water resistant fabric
-option of footwell or flat bottom for napping
-straps are super easy to adjust and tighten enough to hold my infant up because she can’t sit up on her own yet.
Cons:
– not enough storage space. Adding decent sized pockets to the backs of the seats and sides of the wagon would make a huge difference
-the sun shades suck. Even both fully extended, still let a decent amount of light into the wagon through the large gaps they leave on the sides. This will hopefully be fixed with the sun canopy accessory but to have to buy something extra for basic functionality is annoying
-long and hard to maneuver in tight spaces like bathrooms but all stroller/wagons are due to size
-annoying that you have to unzip the footwell to reach the pull handle for folding. The cover on the footwell is hard to line up the zipper just due to it going fully across the wagon which is really nice except when I have to undo it every time I fold the wagon.
We use our wagon for grocery shopping, mall shopping, soccer and TBall, trips to the zoo, parks, amusement part, aquarium, the beach and even traveling. I was able to load the wagon with all our luggage and my 2 kids (4yrs and 6 months) to bring everything to the room in one trip! It was awesome.
Overall I would say the pros highly outweigh the cons but a few tweaks could easily make this wagon the only choice people consider.
Spacious, all terrain wagon for 3+
Firstly the wagon was SUPER easy to assemble when it came out of the box, I did it by myself very quickly with 2 toddlers messing with all the scrap pieces around me, without the instruction manual lol. I was really impressed with it being lightweight but also heavy enough that you know it’s quality material. I like the feel of the fabrics and how easy to wipe clean it is. I’ve already taken it on a neighborhood walk (paved cement with some bumps), nature trail (forest terrain with tree roots and sand), grassy lawn, sloped driveways, boardwalk, loose gravel and in and out of the doorways in my house. All have done amazingly well. I was actually really surprised at how easy it was to push during the nature walk, the only time I had to pull was over larger tree roots. It got super dirty on the trail because of sand and clay, but cleaned up like new with some baby wipes and a vacuum.
The fold is larger than I expected but it is REALLY easy to fold, and it does fit in my 2017 Dodge Durango with the third row in use, with the wheels taken off. I’ll admit I don’t love taking the wheels off even though it’s really quick (comparable to how easy it is to take the wheels off my UPPAbaby vista which was my main baby hauler before getting a wagon) but with how spacious it is for my 4 year old, 2.5 year old and 1 year old, it’s something I can live with. I love how many storage options there are, and I love the movable basket and parent console. The canopies have good cover from our Florida sun except when the sun is setting/rising and it’s super low.
The buckles were really easy to adjust heights for each of my kiddos but I’m still getting used to buckling them quickly as the pieces don’t slide into each other as easy as others I’ve used but it boils down to getting used to it. The push is almost like a stroller push despite it being a pretty big wagon and that’s something that was really important to me. Overall really really happy with my choice after almost a year of researching which would be the best for my family.
